The American entrepreneur Rules Out Spurs Takeover Bid Following Expression of Interest
The long-serving executive directed Spurs' transition to the state-of-the-art venue in the year 2019.
US technology mogul the entrepreneur has dismissed making a formal takeover bid for Spurs.
Spurs had earlier “clearly turned down” an unofficial approach from a consortium spearheaded by Earick last month and insisted the team was not for sale.
However British acquisition regulations dictated that, following an informal proposal turned down, the group needed to make an offer by late October or state they would refrain.
Verification of the determination was provided in a statement released by Spurs to the London Stock Exchange, confirming the organization is “not in an offer period.”
Earick shared an snapshot of the statement on online platforms, stating: “It was a pleasure interacting with the club and the Lewis family's delegates over the past few weeks.
“I hold deep admiration for the organization, its executives, and its supporters, and hope for only the best.”
The club's board thanked the group for its “constructive approach” in negotiations and for “respecting the firm stance” of the proprietors that the team is not for sale.
Brooklyn Earick is a former DJ who also served in spacecraft research for NASA before establishing the innovation company, which concentrates on tech, media, athletics and recreation.
The informal offer was the latest approach turned down by the team's directors since the abrupt resignation of top executive the former chairman in the fall.
On 8 September, the team turned down offers from previous club stakeholder Staveley's the investment firm and a consortium led by Kennedy and Ng through Firehawk Holdings.
Daniel Levy and his family hold about thirty percent of Enic Sports & Developments Holdings Ltd – which has an majority shareholding in Spurs.
Levy was the the league's longest-serving chairman and is reported to have received over £50 million during his nearly 25 years in the role.
Yet he was also the target of ongoing dissent by Tottenham supporters, especially last season as domestic league results turned out disappointing.
Tottenham secured their initial silverware in 17 years when they defeated the Red Devils in May's continental decider.
