Los Merengues winger Vinicius Jr has said sorry to the fanbase for his response when substituted in Sunday's heated El Clasico triumph.
Vinicius was taken off in the second half and displayed his annoyance by walking immediately down the tunnel.
Vinicius later returned to the sidelines and, after his team's 2-1 victory, sought to engage Barcelona's opposing player during unsavoury final whistle exchanges.
"Today I want to express regret to all the Real Madrid fans for my response when I was replaced in the derby," he shared on his account.
"Similarly to I have said in person during the latest training, I also want to express regret anew to my teammates, the organization, and the club president.
"Sometimes fervor takes over me because I always want to succeed and assist my club. My determined nature stems from the love I have for this club and everything it represents."
He moved to the Spanish capital from Brazil in the year 2018 for a significant fee and has accumulated over a century of strikes in 335 appearances.
But his prospects in the La Liga is uncertain with reports in lately indicating that the club would think about permitting the player move on if they got a suitable offer.
When he was replaced on that day, TV coverage from broadcaster the service captured him remarking: "Always me! I'm leaving the team! It's wiser if I leave, I'm moving on."
In his new post on X, he stated: "I vow to keep battling constantly for the welfare of Los Blancos, as I have performed since the initial arrival."
